Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree preferred; coursework in Business, Finance, Risk Management, Insurance, Technology, or related field is a plus.
  • Minimum of one year of professional office experience; insurance underwriting or policy administration experience preferred.
  • Experience with insurance systems or policy administration platforms desired.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Word; SQL or data querying a plus.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication with ability to engage across all levels.

Responsibilities

  • Review, clear, and process new business submissions accurately and within service standards.
  • Enter, verify, and maintain underwriting information in policy administration systems.
  • Prepare, bind, issue, and maintain commercial policies for new and renewal business.
  • Process policy transactions including endorsements, cancellations, and reinstatements with high accuracy.
  • Generate and distribute renewal notices and other policy-related correspondence per guidelines.
  • Investigate and resolve booking, billing, accounting, and system discrepancies with internal stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with underwriters, brokers, and management to obtain required information and ensure timely processing.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service to internal and external partners.
  • Produce routine and management reports to support underwriting operations and decision-making.
  • Support audits, system enhancements, and special projects as needed.
  • Identify opportunities for operational efficiencies and drive process improvements.

What will your job entail?Job Responsibilities

  • Review, clear, and process new business submissions accurately and within established service standards, ensuring data quality and completeness.
  • Enter, verify, and maintain underwriting information in policy administration systems to support rating, documentation, issuance, and compliance requirements.
  • Prepare, bind, issue, and maintain commercial insurance policies for both new and renewal business.
  • Process policy transactions, including endorsements, cancellations, reinstatements, and other policy changes with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Generate and distribute renewal solicitations, non-renewal notices, cancellation notices, and other policy-related correspondence in accordance with regulatory and company guidelines.
  • Investigate and resolve policy booking, billing, accounting, and system discrepancies by collaborating with internal stakeholders.
  • Partner with underwriters, brokers, and management to obtain required information and ensure timely and accurate policy processing.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service to internal and external business partners by responding promptly to inquiries and requests.
  • Produce routine, ad hoc, and management reports to support underwriting operations, business performance, and decision-making.
  • Support departmental initiatives, audits, system enhancements, and special projects as needed.
  • Identify opportunities for operational efficiencies and contribute to continuous process improvement and workflow optimization efforts.
  • Maintain compliance with company policies, underwriting guidelines, and applicable regulatory requirements.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree preferred; coursework in Business, Finance, Risk Management, Insurance, Technology, or a related field is a plus.
  • Minimum of one year of professional office experience required; insurance industry experience, particularly within underwriting operations or policy administration, is preferred.
  • Experience working with insurance systems, policy administration platforms, or other enterprise business applications preferred.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Word; SQL or data-querying experience is a plus.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact effectively across all levels of the organization.
  • Exceptional attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy, data integrity, and quality assurance.
  • Strong organizational, prioritization, and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.

The target hourly rate range for this position is $22.00 - $27.50 per hour.
