Argo Group seeks an Underwriting Technical Specialist, Primary Casualty, to join our Chicago team onsite. You will underwrite, analyze and market new and renewal business, contributing to profitable growth and broker relationships.

You should bring a bachelor’s degree with 8+ years underwriting experience, strong Excel/PowerPoint skills, and proven ability to communicate effectively across functions. Travel may be required; position offers a bonus and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 8+ years underwriting experience or an equivalent combination.
• Strong computer skills with MS Office; Imageright is a plus.
• Excellent organization, analytical, and communication abilities.
• Ability to travel on short notice and interact with diverse teams.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite and analyze new business and renewal submissions for assigned lines.
• Contribute to marketing and processing goals and broker relations.
• Develop and present portfolio strategies to reach GWP, LR and CR targets.
• Collaborate across teams and participate in client and broker meetings.
