Job summary

CFC is seeking an Underwriting Assistant in New York to provide essential support to underwriters in the Corporate Professions team. You will help manage submissions, renewals and policy documentation with accuracy and efficiency.

Ideal candidates have experience supporting Corporate Professions underwriting, strong policy administration knowledge, and excellent organizational skills to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Demonstrable experience as an Underwriting Assistant in insurance, supporting Corporate Professions teams.
• Strong understanding of underwriting processes, policy administration and broker servicing.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day operational and administrative support to underwriting teams, ensuring submissions, renewals and policy documentation are processed accurately.
• Support underwriters through the full underwriting lifecycle from submission to policy issuance.
• Manage new business and renewal submissions and prioritisation.
• Maintain underwriting systems and records accurately and timely.
• Prepare underwriting documentation, policy schedules and related correspondence.
• Liaise with brokers and internal stakeholders to resolve queries and obtain information.
• Monitor pipelines, renewal activity and subjectivities; meet key deadlines.
• Produce reports and management information as required.
• Identify process improvements within the team.
