SafePoint Insurance Company is seeking an Underwriting Support professional in Utah to assist the Commercial Auto Underwriting team with clerical and policy service duties. You will triage workflows, process endorsements and cancellations, and handle filings to enable underwriters to focus on risk analysis and pricing.

The role requires 1–3 years in P&C insurance, a bachelor’s degree, and strong organizational and communication skills.

• 1–3 years of property and casualty insurance experience, preferably in an underwriting support, policy services, or administrative role.
• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Familiarity with Commercial Auto insurance terminology, forms, and basic workflows is strongly preferred.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Proficient computer skills, fast and accurate data entry, and strong systems knowledge.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsabilidades

• Review and triage incoming new business submissions, directing them to the appropriate underwriting personnel based on company workflows.
• Review and process requests for cancellations, reinstatements, and endorsements within established clerical guidelines.
• Prepare and issue insurance binders and ensure accurate processing of state and federal insurance filings.
• Perform routine policy audits and quality checks to ensure accuracy in policy administration systems.
• Maintain courteous and professional communication with external brokers to obtain missing application information, follow up on basic documentation, and route escalated requests to the correct underwriter.
• Accurately input, update, and maintain risk and policy information in administration systems.
• Perform other administrative tasks and projects as assigned to support the underwriting department.

Job Summary

Supports the Commercial Auto Underwriting team by performing essential clerical, audit, and policy service duties. This role focuses on ensuring efficient operations by triaging workflows, processing endorsements and cancellations, and handling filings and binders, allowing underwriters to focus on complex risk analysis and pricing

Duties And Responsibilities

• Review and triage incoming new business submissions, directing them to the appropriate underwriting personnel based on company workflows
• Review and process requests for cancellations, reinstatements, and endorsements within established clerical guidelines

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience in property and casualty and/or excess and surplus insurance, preferably in an underwriting support, policy services, or administrative role
• Bachelor’s degree required
• Familiarity with Commercial Auto insurance terminology, forms, and basic workflows is strongly preferred
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills
• Proficient computer skills, fast and accurate data entry, and strong systems knowledge
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, copiers, internet- and imaged documents and workflows.
