Job summary

Responsibilities

• Conduct exposure analysis and produce reports for the SRM team.
• Analyze policy modules for risk extension.
• Allocate workflow cases and complete necessary actions.
• Scan and enter financial statements into the underwriting system.
• Prospect executives for financial statements or additional information.
• Perform reviews of subsidiary relationships and confirm legal status.
• Approve journal postings and communicate with team members.
• Handle special projects and general clerical duties.

Special Risk Management (SRM) Unit

The SRM unit is part of the Risk Underwriting Team and manages high‑risk buyer underwriting and high‑value recovery opportunities. It establishes strategies to underwrite and monitor high‑risk companies and directs recovery efforts on larger reported debts to minimize trading losses.

Job Description

This part‑time internship reports to the SRM manager. The intern will support underwriting high‑risk companies and assist with communication, data integrity, compliance, and general administrative duties. It is located at the Atradius regional headquarters in Hunt Valley and pays $20 per hour.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough exposure analysis and produce comprehensive reports for the SRM team.
• Analyze policy modules to identify risk‑extending modules and grace periods.
• Allocate workflow cases from central in‑trays and complete necessary actions.
• Scan and enter financial statements into Atradius’ proprietary Buyer Underwriting system.
• Prospect executives from companies of all sizes to obtain financial statements or additional information needed to manage credit risk.
• Perform ad‑hoc reviews of subsidiary and affiliate relationships, confirming legal status.
• Approve journal postings and relay system communications to responsible team members.
• Handle special projects and general clerical duties as required.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled undergraduate student in the greater Baltimore area, pursuing a bachelor’s degree in finance, business, or a related field (expected graduation 2028 or later).
• Flexible schedule to commit 15–29.5 hours per week.
• Must be able to work at least two days a week at the Hunt Valley office.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office required.
• Basic understanding of financial statements (income statement, balance sheet, cash flow).
• Effective written and verbal communication with internal and external stakeholders.
