Job summary

Beazley invites motivated students to join a 10-week paid internship in underwriting. You will work with an experienced underwriting team, learn insurance fundamentals, and receive mentorship and structured development opportunities.

During the program you will analyze data, prepare underwriting materials, and complete a project to present your findings. Networking events and career development activities are included.

Qualifications

• Pursuing Bachelor's degree in Risk Management, Insurance, Business, Economics, Finance, Management, Mathematics, or related field.
• Internship, leadership, extracurricular, or other relevant experience is a plus.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and other business applications.
• Fluency in English and additional languages where required by the business.

Whether you already know insurance or are discovering it for the first time, this 10-week paid internship provides hands-on experience, mentorship, structured development, and exposure to a global specialist insurer.

What You'll Do

During the internship, you will:

• Work alongside experienced underwriting professionals on team-led assignments

• Analyze data and information to identify key risk considerations
• Support the preparation of underwriting materials, exposure profiles, and other business documentation
• Complete an individual project and present your findings
• Participate in workshops, networking sessions, and professional development activities
• Build relationships with colleagues across Beazley and the wider insurance market

Who Should Apply?

We welcome students from a variety of academic backgrounds and experiences. Degrees in Risk Management, Insurance, Business, Economics, Finance, Management, Mathematics, and related disciplines may be relevant, but prior insurance experience is not required.
