Overview

Sompo is seeking an Underwriter with experience in Professional Liability or Cyber risks to join our Sompo Pro team based in Boston, MA. Our team specializes in Cyber, Tech E&O, Miscellaneous Professional Liability, Insurance Agents E&O, and Architects and Engineers E&O for primary and excess risks, working through a network of committed brokers.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite policies including Miscellaneous Professional Liability, Technology Errors and Omissions, Cyber Liability, Media Liability, Architects and Engineers Professional Liability, and Insurance Agents and Brokers
• Assess risk characteristics and determine capacity, terms, and pricing
• Maintain and develop broker relationships within the Northeast region
• Create marketing strategies to retain and grow business aligned with Sompo Pro's risk appetite
• Engage effectively with internal and external partners through communication and negotiation

Qualifications

• Existing relationships within the Northeast marketplace's retail and wholesale networks
• 2-5 years of professional lines underwriting experience
• Excellent communication skills
• Strong analytical and organizational skills
• Willingness to travel approximately 10%
