Job summary

EMC Insurance is seeking a Summer Underwriting Intern in the Northeast Region (Valley Forge) for a hybrid role in Pennsylvania. The internship supports branch underwriting teams, with duties including gathering information for new business and renewals and communicating with agents and outside sources.

Ideal candidates are business majors (insurance/marketing/finance), have completed at least the junior year, and hold a 3.0+ GPA.

Qualifications

• Business major with interest in insurance, marketing or finance.
• Completion of junior year preferred.
• Cumulative GPA of 3.00 or higher.

Responsibilities

• Summer paid internship assisting in underwriting and gathering info for submissions.
• Communicate with agents and external sources to obtain needed information.
• Learn EMC underwriting processes and business practices.
