Job summary

EMC Insurance in Dallas invites you to a paid summer internship in one of its branch underwriting departments. You will assist underwriters in gathering information from agents and other sources to evaluate new business and renewals, while learning EMC’s culture, processes, and products.

Qualifications

• Business major with focus in insurance/marketing/finance preferred
• Junior year completion preferred
• Interest in property casualty insurance career
• GPA 3.00 or higher required or preferred

Responsibilities

• Assist underwriters in obtaining information for new business and renewal submissions
• Correspond with agents and other outside sources to gather needed data
• Learn EMC culture, processes and products
• Gain an understanding of the insurance underwriting process
