Job summary

MSIG USA is offering an Underwriting Internship in Financial Lines in Chicago. You will gain hands-on experience evaluating risk, supporting underwriting for new and renewal business, and analyzing financial data under the guidance of senior underwriters.

You will collaborate with claims, legal, and finance teams while developing your skills in a supportive, mentorship-driven environment. The program runs as a hybrid role with in-office days in Illinois.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a passion for financial data.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Risk assessment and analysis: Assist in evaluating financial statements and industry trends to assess risk.
• Underwriting assistance: Support underwriting for new and renewal Financial Lines business, determining coverage terms.
• Data-driven decisions: Analyze reports and industry data to inform underwriting strategies.
• Collaborate with experts: Work with claims, legal, and finance teams to understand underwriting challenges.
• Continuous learning: Stay updated on industry trends to build underwriting expertise.
