Job summary

Mission Underwriting Services is seeking a Lynx Specialty Underwriting Intern in Cincinnati, OH. As an intern, you will assist the underwriting team in evaluating property insurance, analyze reports, and support the processing of policies. Ideal candidates are undergraduate students pursuing degrees in Risk Management & Insurance with a minimum GPA of 3.0. This role requires presence in Cincinnati and will not offer remote work opportunities.

About The role

The Lynx Specialty Underwriting Intern will work alongside a diverse team, to assist and support the Underwriting team.

What You'll Do

• Receive training to assist in the underwriting of property insurance.
• Review and analyze reports to make informed underwriting recommendations.
• Support underwriters with coordinating and processing polices.
• Participate on special projects, as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• A current student pursuing an undergraduate degree in Risk Management & Insurance, or a similar field. Two years of course work completed towards a degree (Junior or Senior) would be preferred.
• Minimum GPA to apply is a 3.0 on a scale of 4.0.
• Must be in the same geographic location as the job (Cincinnati, OH) or willing to relocate yourself. This is NOT a remote position.
