We currently have entry level opportunities for individuals seeking a career in the insurance industry as an Underwriting Assistant Trainee. All selected candidates will be hired on a temporary basis until they successfully complete the first 4-5 weeks of training which includes preparation for and the passing of The Institutes AINS 103: Exploring Commercial Insurance exam. The classroom portion of this live training program conducted remotely will last approximately four to five months.
The underwriting assistant trainee will support underwriters by performing a variety of tasks including the preparation and servicing of new and renewal accounts. Work performed is under the daily guidance, review, and authority of an assigned underwriter(s) and underwriting management staff.

The salary range for this role is $36,300 - $60,900. The listed annual salary range posted for this position is subject to change and may vary depending on performance, education, experience, skills, geographic location, travel requirements, demonstrated proficiency in the competencies required for the role and business needs. Base pay is just one component of GNY’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards include eligibility for an annual discretionary bonus based on performance.
