Job summary

Salman Capital Funding is seeking an Underwriting Analyst to join our growing private real estate lending team in New York. You’ll support the underwriting process across bridge, construction, and DSCR loans, managing files from application through closing and delivering data-driven credit recommendations.

You’ll collaborate with sales, BD, and borrowers, brokers, attorneys, and vendors while sharpening your analytical, communication, and detail-oriented skills in a fast-paced environment.

• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial statements, property data, and market trends.
• Effective communication with internal and external stakeholders, including borrowers, brokers, attorneys, and vendors.
• Detail-oriented and organized, able to manage multiple transactions in a fast-paced environment while meeting deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Analyze borrower financials, collateral, and transaction risks to inform credit recommendations.
• Collaborate with sales and business development to align underwriting with deal strategy.
• Communicate with borrowers, brokers, attorneys, and vendors to collect outstanding conditions.
• Prepare loan summaries and underwriting packages for internal review.
• Assist the Senior Underwriter with underwriting bridge, construction, and DSCR loan requests.
• Contribute to market and competitor analysis to inform business plans.
