Job summary

Starr Insurance Companies in Boston seeks an Underwriting Analyst to support the Underwriting Manager and Underwriters for the Starr Tech Property team. You will liaise with brokers to gather submission information and assist in producing quotes, binders, and policy assemblies.

You will also prepare underwriting files and follow up on any outstanding subjectivities for bound accounts, in a collaborative, fast-paced environment with opportunities for growth.

Duties and Responsibilities:

The UnderwritingAnalystwill support the Underwriting Manager andtheUnderwritersfor the Starr Tech Propertyteam.This employee will also be responsible for corresponding with our broker contacts to collect necessary submission information needed by the underwriting unit. The Underwriting Assistant will also work with the underwriters to create, review quote proposals, binders and assemblepolicies. In addition, this individual will be responsible for creating underwriting files and following-up on any outstanding subjectivities for bound accounts.

Skills/Experience Required:

• Professional demeanor in language and writing skills
• Ability to work independently, but also work to support a team environment
• Experience with Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, PDF
• Ability to work in a fast paced work environment

For individuals assigned and/or hired to work in Boston, Starr Insurance Companies is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets: experience and training: licensure and certifications: and other business and organizational needs. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $65,000 - $75,000
