Tokio Marine America in Chicago offers a one-year underwriting training program designed to develop professionals in inland marine and ocean marine lines. The program combines case studies, interaction with experienced underwriters, and formal insurance training supervised by a Team Leader.
You will complete training assignments, assist underwriters with routine tasks, and ensure adherence to internal controls.

Participate in a one‑year formal underwriting training program. Training will consist of formal case study assignments in applicable lines of business currently written by TMA Marine Unit, job interaction with underwriting staff as well as formal Insurance training (both internal and external). Training will be directly supervised and monitored by a Team Leader or Underwriting Manager A Training Program Schedule and Curriculum will be followed to ensure consistency in skill set development.
Salary range $65,000 to $75,000. Ultimate salary offered will be based on factors such as applicant experience and geographic location. Our company offers a competitive benefits package and bonus eligibility on top of base.
