Trustmark in Lake Forest, IL, is seeking an underwriting professional to support medical product risk assessment, review applications and claims experience, and determine premium levels for new and renewing clients. Responsible for supporting the underwriting of level funded medical products by reviewing medical applications and questionnaires, claims experience, and related data to evaluate risk and determine appropriate premium rates for new and existing clients. Applies established risk criteria and underwriting guidelines to produce sound, well-documented underwriting decisions. Collaborates closely with underwriting, sales, and operations partners to ensure alignment on case strategy, data quality, and process execution. Communicates and defends underwriting decisions and risk assessments with the sales field, providing clear rationale and supporting analysis to facilitate understanding and client discussions.
The compensation range for this role is based on the corporate location in Lake Forest, Illinois: $62,947.30 – $90,923.65 per year. The final salary offer will be determined based on factors such as location, qualifications, experience, skill set, and other relevant factors. This position may also be eligible for bonus.
