Job summary

Risk Placement Services (RPS) in Rolling Meadows, IL is seeking a driven sales/production professional to join our team. You’ll connect Retail Agents with national markets, grow revenue, and deliver underwriting solutions through strong carrier relationships.

In this hybrid role (75% marketing/sales, 25% underwriting), you’ll prospect, market insurance solutions, and build partnerships with carriers to access competitive pricing and coverage.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years of related experience.
• Home state P&C license (or willingness to obtain within 90 days).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Prospect and develop new business through networking with Retail Agents and Carrier Underwriters.
• Market and sell wholesale insurance solutions to achieve production goals.
• Build strong relationships with Specialty Carriers for competitive pricing and access to coverage.
• Pre-qualify submissions and target high-probability sales opportunities.
• Analyze submissions to select best carrier, coverage, forms, and premium.
• Gather client risk information and identify exposure areas to quote.
• Stay informed on industry trends affecting underwriting and pricing.
• Educate partners on RPS’s risk solutions and capabilities.
• Lead, train, and oversee support team when required.
• Travel as needed to meet clients and carriers.

• Prospect and develop new business through networking and relationship-building with Retail Agents and Carrier Underwriters.
• Market and sell wholesale insurance solutions to achieve production goals and grow your book of business.
• Build strong relationships with Specialty Carriers to ensure competitive pricing and access to coverage on various types of risk.
• Pre-qualify submissions and focus on high-probability sales opportunities while following Carrier guidelines.
• Analyze submissions from Retail Agents and determine the best available Carrier, coverage, forms, and premium.
• Gather information on client risks and identify additional areas of exposure RPS could quote.
• Stay ahead of industry and market trends that impact underwriting guidelines, pricing, and premiums.
• Educate partners on RPS’s full range of risk solutions as their business needs evolve.
• Lead, train, and oversee support team when assigned.
• Travel as needed to engage with clients and carriers.
