The Underwriter will review all loan documents and data in a loan file with the goal of rendering an Underwriting decision based on the loan characteristics including but not limited to Borrower’s ability to repay (income, employment and assets), borrower’s credit history and the collateral (property). UW’s are granted Lending Authority based on their experience and their performance on initial test cases. Once Lending Authority is received, they underwrite loans in accordance with regulatory requirements, Investor guidelines and Truist overlays.

The job entails sitting as well as working at a computer for extended periods of time. Should be able to communicate by telephone, email or face to face.
This role is fully remote/ WFH and must work EST/EDT hours aligned to client work hours. The project is based in Atlanta, GA.
