Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Six (6) or more years of related work experience.
• Knowledge of insurance industry; Valid Insurance License; must meet license renewal requirements; DL in state.

Responsibilities

• Underwrites a renewal book of business in accordance with underwriting guidelines.
• Collaborates with brokers/agents to negotiate renewal terms and maintain strong business relationships.
• Analyzes policies and endorsements to identify errors, omissions or discrepancies to ensure agreement with application, quote, proposal, and/or binder.
• Issues policies and endorsements; binds coverage and coordinates binders/evidences.
• Maintains and manages renewal spreadsheet and prepares policy delivery documents.
• Services Renewal Underwriter calls and answers questions regarding client coverage, limits and deductibles.
• Maintains files for renewal submissions and written or lost business; follows up with clients.
• Maintains data integrity in agency management system and ensures complete and accurate information.

SUMMARY

Responsible for reviewing, underwriting and rating broker for renewal business. Ensures content of submissions is complete; obtains additional information from Retail Producers and Account Managers as needed. Markets to carrier to obtain quotes, negotiate pricing, define coverage's, and determine commissions.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Underwrites a renewal book of business in accordance with underwriting guidelines.
• Collaborate with brokers/agents to negotiate renewal terms and maintain strong business relationships.
• Analyzes policies and endorsements to identify errors, omissions or discrepancies to ensure agreement with application, quote, proposal, and/or binder.
• Issues policies and endorsements; binds coverage and coordinates binders/evidences.
• Maintains and manages renewal spreadsheet.
• Coordinates the preparation of policy delivery with all related documents.
• Services Renewal Underwriter calls, answers questions regarding client coverage, limits and deductibles.
• Maintains files for renewal submissions and written or lost business.
• Maintains client suspense and conducts follow-ups as appropriate.
• Serves as a technical expert, assisting Account Managers to resolve complex issues.
• Complies with agency management system data standards and data integrity (enters and maintains complete and accurate information).

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Six (6) or more years of related work experience
• Knowledge of insurance industry
• Valid Insurance License
• Must continue to meet requirements for license renewal
• DL NUMBER - Driver License, Valid and in State
