Job summary

Mainstream Commercial Divers, Inc. in North Charleston, SC seeks an Inspection Report Specialist (part-time) to compile, analyze, and prepare detailed inspection reports from underwater dive findings, measurements, photos, and videos for client deliverables.

You will work with dive supervisors, project managers, engineers, and clients to ensure findings meet project specifications, standards, and quality requirements, while managing multiple reports and deadlines.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of technical writing or inspection documentation experience.
• Excellent technical writing, proofreading, and organizational skills.
• Experience with CAD drawings, GIS, asset management systems, or inspection software.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Adobe Acrobat, and document management systems.
• Experience conducting document reviews for accuracy, consistency, and quality control.
• Strong technical writing, editing, and proofreading skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare comprehensive inspection reports from project data.
• Organize and document inspection findings, observations, measurements, and recommendations.
• Compile underwater inspection reports for structures including dams, hydroelectric facilities, intake structures, bridges, pipelines, marine terminals, and industrial waterfront facilities.
• Develop executive summaries and detailed technical findings sections.
• Manage multiple reports and deadlines simultaneously.
• Interpret technical and engineering information and maintain confidentiality.
