Job summary

Penn State University in State College, PA, seeks a Research and Development Engineer for the Undersea Systems Simulation group within ARL's USO MBE Division. You will design, set up, and run transient, physics-based simulations to study undersea engagements and support DoD applications.

Responsibilities include modeling, simulation, and analysis, condensing results into actionable guidance, and integrating vehicle software into digital simulations. This role is onsite with travel potential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Science or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Design, setup, and execute transient, physics-based simulations for undersea engagements.
• Modeling, simulation, and analyses for DoD applications.
• Analyze results and provide actionable recommendations to stakeholders.
• Perform system operability and CONOPS-based studies and analysis.
