Job summary

Penn State University is seeking an Undersea System Analyst to join the ARL Operations Research and Systems Analysis Department. You will work onsite in State College, PA, collaborating with Navy officers, engineers, scientists, and mathematicians to analyze and model naval systems, and communicate results to DoD sponsors.

Responsibilities include developing simulations, performing concept assessments, and leading small tasks.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Science is required or equivalent.
  • 2+ years of relevant experience is required for the intermediate level.
  • U.S. citizenship is required to apply and eligibility for government security clearance may be needed.

Responsibilities

  • Aggregate Subject Matter Expertise with a diverse group to understand problems from multiple perspectives.
  • Execute analyses by planning approaches, developing and running models/simulations, and analyzing results.
  • Perform concept assessments of naval operations or systems for conceptualization.
  • Deliver results by communicating findings clearly to stakeholders within the lab or to DoD/IC sponsors.
