Job summary

The Pennsylvania State University’s Applied Research Laboratory (ARL) seeks a Simulation Software Engineer to develop and maintain software for undersea system simulations supporting DoD applications. You will analyze, integrate, and validate software components within large digital simulations, collaborating in a small team environment.

Required: a Bachelor’s in engineering or science, strong C/C++, Python, and Linux skills, plus 2+ years of relevant experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Science required.
• 2+ years of relevant experience for Research and Development Engineer - Software (ARL) – Intermediate Professional.
• No required certifications.

Responsibilities

• Analyze, design, implement, and maintain software for undersea system modeling and simulation.
• Integrate vehicle software (guidance, control, signal processing) into large simulations.
• Design, run and document software tests for verification and validation.
