Job summary

The Pennsylvania State University’s Applied Research Laboratory (ARL) invites undergraduate students to apply for paid internship opportunities in the Guidance and Control Technologies Division. The internship supports Navy/DoD and Intel communities with autonomous undersea systems work at ARL's Science Park Building in State College, PA.

Typical duties include researching, developing, analyzing, implementing, and testing new capabilities.

Qualifications

• Undergrad students in listed majors applying for internship.
• Experience or interest in signal/image processing, object tracking, autonomous control, or AI/ML is desirable.
• Proficient in MATLAB, C/C++, or Python preferred.

Responsibilities

• Research, develop, analyze, implement and test new capabilities for autonomous undersea systems.
• Collaborate with ARL Penn State teams to advance Navy/DoD/NCI objectives.
• Assist in software development and verification for projected systems.
