Job summary

The Walsh Group – Walsh Construction & Archer Western is seeking an Underground Pipe Superintendent for its Water Division in Apache Junction, AZ and Goodyear, AZ. The role requires ownership of field operations, safety, scheduling, and budgeting on heavy civil water projects.

You will plan and manage daily field activities, coordinate subs and drawings, monitor costs, mitigate risks, ensure quality standards and OSHA compliance, and maintain logs and time cards.

Qualifications

• High School diploma required.
• 6+ years of experience in field supervision.
• Basic computer skills preferred.
• Specific roles may require relocation.

Responsibilities

• Overall management of field operations
• Create and manage project schedule
• Coordinate subcontracts, drawings, and specifications
• Establishing budgets and controlling cost
• Identify the causes of cost variances and eliminate negative variances
• Identify project risk, and work to mitigate it
• Communicate quality standards to each subcontractor and vendor
• Conduct systematic quality control inspections
• Follows company safety program, laws, and OSHA operating standards
• Manages jobsite cleanliness
• Prepares daily time cards for personnel under supervision
• Prepares daily logs
