Job summary

Drewry Site Development is hiring a full-time Underground Utility Pipe Layer for civil construction projects throughout Volusia County and surrounding areas. The role requires outdoor work and strict adherence to safety protocols.

You will install storm drainage, water, and sewer piping, align pipes precisely, and assist with trenching and backfilling under supervision. The ideal candidate has pipe-laying experience, a valid driver’s license, and a strong work ethic.

Qualifications

• Previous underground utility or pipe-laying experience preferred.
• Knowledge of trench safety and proper pipe installation.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Dependable with a strong work ethic.
• Able to work outdoors and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Must follow PPE and safety requirements.
• Drug-free workplace.

Responsibilities

• Install storm drainage, water, and sewer piping.
• Set pipe to the proper line, grade, and elevation.
• Assist with trench preparation, bedding, connections, and backfilling.
• Use lasers, levels, hand tools, and pipe-laying equipment.
• Follow plans, specifications, and foreman instructions.
• Maintain a safe and productive job site.
