ASRC Federal Facilities Logistics LLC, a subsidiary of ASRC Federal, seeks Underground Utility Mechanics to support the NASA Goddard Space Flight Center in Greenbelt, MD. The role involves directing excavation to expose utilities for repair, ensuring safety measures, and reestablishing operability by repairing/replacing damaged systems.

Qualified candidates have a high school diploma, at least 2 years as a Journeyman in HVAC/R, Plumbing, or Industrial Maintenance, and a welder certification,

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years as a Journeyman in HVAC/R, Plumbing, or Industrial Maintenance.
• Welder Certification.
• Minimum 5 years' experience in underground utility maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Directing and overseeing excavation requirements to expose utility systems for repair or replacement.
• Ensuring safety measures are established to proceed to repair or replace damaged utilities to reestablish operability.
• Covering of exposed utilities after they are returned to service.
