Job summary

Stake Center Locating is hiring entry level Locate Technicians to locate underground utilities, troubleshoot, and mark the ground using paint and flags. We provide 100% paid on-the-job training and equip you with basic skills for success.

Preferred candidates enjoy outdoor work in all weather, independence, and quick problem-solving abilities. We offer paid holidays, a vehicle with a fuel card, and a 401(k) with company match.

Qualifications

• 18 years of age or older.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
• Ability to walk up to 5 miles a day 2-3 times a week.
• Ability to carry up to 5 lbs of electronic locating equipment; lifting up to 25 lbs or up to 75 lbs with aids.
• Pass pre-employment background and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Locate underground utilities and read maps to determine locating method and sequence.
• Use locate equipment to accurately identify utilities and document work performed.
• Communicate effectively with peers, managers, and homeowners.
