Job summary

UtiliQuest is seeking a dedicated Utility Locator to learn and apply safe locating techniques, operate specialized equipment, and document findings using digital mapping tools. You will work with experienced locators, develop understanding of local infrastructure, and support safe excavation projects.

The role requires adaptability to weather, driving a company vehicle, and occasional after-hours or weekend work.

Qualifications

• 18 years or older
• Authorized to work in the United States
• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent
• Valid State driver's license with acceptable MVR

Responsibilities

• Learn utility locating techniques, safety protocols and how to operate equipment
• Develop understanding of local utility infrastructure and regulations
• Partner with experienced Utility Locators to mark underground utility lines
• Operate utility locating equipment
• Document findings using digital mapping tools
• Drive safely and follow company safe driving policies
• Flexible schedule including some evenings and weekends
• Respond to emergency calls during scheduled on-call shift rotation
