Peak Utility Infrastructure is seeking a Damage Prevention Specialist I to identify, locate, and mark underground utilities, minimizing service disruption during construction. The role involves working across varied terrains and weather conditions, using locate tools, collecting GPS data, and documenting findings on each job site.

Ideal candidates will have strong attention to detail, good communication skills, and the ability to perform heavy manual labor.

Qualifications

• Experience locating underground utilities is a plus but not required.
• Sitewise entry level basic locating training up to 45 days.
• HIP technician concepts including field audits and standby processes.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum 1-year tenure in described job roles before advancement.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes and maintains locate tools and equipment.
• Collect GPS data to map locates of underground utilities.
• Locate and mark natural gas pipelines.
• Document status of excavation notices using laptops.
• Communicate effectively with supervision, operations, and clients.
• Perform duties safely and follow SOPs.
