Job summary

A utility service company is seeking a Locate Technician to locate underground facilities across multiple terrains. Responsibilities include using transmitters for accurate identification, interpreting job orders, and ensuring safety. The ideal candidate will hold a high school diploma, possess excellent communication skills, and pass background and drug tests. Benefits include health insurance, PTO, and a 401(k) plan. This role requires the ability to lift over 50 lbs and work efficiently in various weather conditions.

Qualifications

• Must pass a background screening with no violations in the last 5 years.
• Must pass a DOT drug test.
• Ability to walk/stand for multiple hours a day.

Responsibilities

• Locate underground facilities using a transmitter and hooking up to buried facilities.
• Work in various terrains and conditions around construction zones.
• Interpret job order tickets and blueprints efficiently.
• Perform locates and emergency/on-call locates as necessary.
• Communicate and interact professionally with customers and teams.
