Job summary

USIC Locating Services, LLC is seeking outdoorsy, safety‑minded individuals for field locator roles across our nationwide operations. Work is daylight, full‑time, with overtime, weekends, and on‑call shifts as needed. You will locate utilities, document findings, and photograph each locate while using company vehicles and equipment.

Training is provided and growth opportunities exist. We emphasize safety, quality, and reliability; expect to travel to sites and maintain precise records.

Qualifications

• Able and willing to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Proficiency with technology.
• Available to work overtime, weekends, and on-call shifts as needed.
• Able to pass a drug screen (safety-sensitive position).
• Valid driver’s license and a safe driving record.
• Able to work in a confined space; walk, bend, and lift up to 75 lbs.
• Able to distinguish colors used to identify wiring and mark underground utilities.
• Able to read, understand, and reference locate tickets, maps and prints.
• Able to communicate clearly with colleagues, customers, contractors, and homeowners.

Responsibilities

• Correctly, safely, and efficiently locate underground utilities, including telecommunications, electric power, cable TV, gas, water, and sewer systems.
• Thoroughly search for underground utilities in a designated area, accurately marking the location, completing the necessary documentation, and photographing each locate.
