Job Overview

Vannguard Utility Partners is seeking Underground Utility Locators to join our team. This role involves outdoor work, using specialized equipment to locate underground utilities, and ensuring safety and accuracy in various projects.

Responsibilities

1. Drive a company vehicle to and from job sites, responding to routine requests and emergencies.
2. Use mapping tools and locating equipment to find underground utilities such as electric, gas, and communication lines.
3. Mark utility locations with paint and flags, and communicate findings to excavation teams.
4. Respond to after-hours emergency calls as per the rotation schedule.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver’s license
• Ability to work overtime and respond to emergencies
• Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
• Physical ability to lift up to 150 pounds and walk over uneven terrain
• Computer skills (preferred)
• Experience in utility locating (preferred)

Physical Demands

Employees will drive long distances daily, work outdoors, and handle physical tasks such as lifting and walking in various weather conditions.

• Schedule: 10-hour shifts, Monday to Friday, with on-call and overtime
