Allied Water Services Inc. seeks a dependable Underground Utility Laborer to join our field crew in Manteno, Illinois.

This role supports sewer, septic, water main, and underground utility installation and repair projects, performing physically demanding outdoor work. The ideal candidate has hands-on labor experience, is willing to learn specialized skills in the underground utility industry, and values safety and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Hands-on labor experience preferred.
• Able to perform physically demanding outdoor work in various weather conditions.
• Dependable, punctual, and willing to learn.
• Ability to follow directions and work as part of a team.
• Valid driver’s license preferred.

Responsabilités

• Assist with sewer, septic, and water main installations, repairs, and replacements.
• Support excavation, trenching, and job-site preparation.
• Move, position, and connect pipes and other construction materials under the direction of experienced crew members.
• Assist with backfilling, grading, and site cleanup.
• Safely use hand tools, power tools, and job-site equipment.
• Load and unload materials, tools, and supplies.
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe job sites.
• Follow instructions from crew leaders and experienced operators.
• Follow all company safety procedures and job-site requirements.
• Perform additional field duties as needed.

The ideal candidate has previous hands-on labor experience, is comfortable performing physically demanding outdoor work, and is willing to learn specialized skills in the underground utility industry. Experience in sewer, septic, or water infrastructure is a plus but is not required.
