Job summary

Pinnacle Site Solutions is seeking an Underground Utility Installer to join our field team in Florida. The role focuses on installation, repair, and maintenance of underground water, sewer, and stormwater systems, with daytime travel to regional job sites.

Strong emphasis on safety and teamwork in outdoor environments. The ideal candidate will have underground utility experience, be able to read plans, operate heavy equipment, and pass safety certifications.

About the Role

Pinnacle Site Solutions is looking for a motivated, dependable, and hardworking Underground Utility Installer to join our growing team. If you're someone who thrives working outdoors, enjoys hands-on work, and takes pride in precision and teamwork, this is your chance to build a career in a high-demand field. You'll be responsible for the installation, repair, and maintenance of underground utility systems - playing a critical role in infrastructure that keeps our communities running.

This role will require daytime travel to job sites throughout the region, but overnight stays are rare. The ideal candidate has experience in underground utilities and can confidently handle physically demanding tasks in a variety of outdoor conditions.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair underground utility systems (water, sewer, stormwater).
• Operate construction equipment including skid steers, excavators, and loaders.
• Read and follow blueprints, utility maps, and project plans with accuracy.
• Perform trenching, shorting, and backfilling while adhering to strict safety protocols.
• Maintain a clean and organized job site.
• Inspect tools and equipment for safety and functionality.
• Work closely with crew members and supervisors to ensure efficient workflow.
• Identify and troubleshoot problems on-site related to installations and repairs.

What We’re Looking For

• Experience & Certifications
  • Prior experience in underground utility installation is strongly preferred.
  • Experience operating heavy equipment is a plus.
  • OSHA 10 certification and First Aid/CPR are preferred (we can help you obtain these if needed).
• Skills & Attributes
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to safety.
  • Ability to follow instructions and learn quickly on the job.
  • Dependable, punctual, and team-oriented.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus.
• Physical Requirements
  • Must be able to lift 50+ lbs. and pull 70-100 lbs. for extended periods.
  • Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.
  • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks daily.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required.
  • Willingness to travel locally to job sites (overnight travel is rare).
