Whipple Plumbing is seeking an experienced Underground Excavation Technician to safely expose, trench, and support repairs on buried service lines. You will operate mini‑excavators, backhoes, and trenchers, digging precise trenches and assisting with plumbing crews on live utility sites.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of utility-focused excavation experience.
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work outdoors in all conditions.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Strong work ethic and willingness to learn underground utility work.
• Ability to work in trenches and confined spaces.

Responsibilities

• Underground utility excavation: expose water, sewer, and drainage lines safely.
• Operate equipment: run mini‑excavators, backhoes, skid steers, trenchers for access.
• Dig safe, accurate trenches for repair and replacement projects.
• Support plumbing crews with pipe replacement and underground work.
• Maintain equipment and keep jobsite clean and organized.
• Provide respectful, professional communication with homeowners.
