Job summary

Exelon is seeking an experienced inspector to document excavation near PECO underground facilities and ensure compliance with PA One Call. You will educate excavators, audit site conditions, and coordinate with PECO teams to safeguard people and infrastructure.

The role requires extensive fieldwork across the PECO territory and the ability to interpret maps and locate underground plant using various tools. Strong communication and safety focus are essential.

Qualifications

• 10 years' experience in natural gas or electric distribution or transmission construction.
• Proficient with Word, Excel, Get Map, Byers View Station, e-mail, GT Viewer and Bentley Red Line.
• Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills.
• Gas Operator Qualified and able to become qualified in all required areas.
• Knowledge of safe and prudent excavation practices.
• Experience locating PECO Energy underground gas and electric facilities.
• Work across the PECO service territory: Chester, Delaware, Montgomery, Bucks, Philadelphia and York Counties.
• Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Provide inspection, location and electronic documentation of excavation activity near PECO underground facilities.
• Educate excavators and the public about PA One Call and PECO Construction Standards.
• Audit field conditions and document proper identification of underground facilities.
• Communicate with PECO Operations groups to ensure public and facility safety.
• Identify PECO underground plant locations using multiple tools.
