Texas Materials, a CRH company, is seeking a Construction Pipelayer to install underground utility systems on highway, municipal, and site development projects. You will work with foremen, operators, and laborers to ensure pipe is laid to plans and grades.

The role emphasizes reading plans, coordinating with crew, and maintaining safety and quality on outdoor sites. Physical work, lifting up to 50 pounds, and potential travel to job sites are required; OSHA 10 or CDL preferred.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of underground utility or pipeline construction experience preferred.
• Knowledge of pipe-laying methods and underground utility installation.
• Ability to work in trenches and around heavy equipment.
• Ability to read measuring devices, grades, and construction stakes.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Reliable transportation to and from project sites.
• Commitment to safety and quality workmanship.

Responsabilités

• Install underground pipe systems including RCP, HDPE, PVC, ductile iron, and storm drainage structures.
• Read and interpret plans, grade stakes, blueprints, and cut sheets.
• Prepare trenches and pipe bedding materials for proper installation.
• Guide equipment operators during excavation, pipe placement, and backfilling operations.
• Set and align pipe to proper line and grade using lasers, levels, and grade rods.
• Install manholes, inlets, catch basins, valves, and related utility structures.
• Compact backfill materials according to project specifications.
• Perform utility tie-ins and assist with testing of completed systems.
• Ensure trenches are maintained in a safe condition and follow trench safety requirements.
• Identify and report underground utility conflicts or field issues to supervisors.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean work area.
• Follow all company safety policies, OSHA regulations, and project-specific requirements.
• Work effectively as part of a construction crew to meet production goals and deadlines.
