Job summary

TelCom Construction, LLC is seeking a dependable Underground Utilities Laborer in Minnesota. No prior experience required; we provide on-the-job training in Coax Splicing or Surveying/Locating and a path to a skilled trade.

You’ll perform construction tasks, install underground cabling, operate equipment, and work in all weather. We offer weekly pay, benefits, PTO, 401(k) with match, and education reimbursement to support your long-term career.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Valid driver's license.
• Authorization to work in the United States for this company.
• High School Diploma, GED equivalent, or relevant work experience.
• Previous experience safely operating hand tools and utility trucks is preferred.
• Physical ability to lift up to 55 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Perform construction tasks including loading, delivery, digging, and operating equipment.
• Install underground telecommunications cabling.
• Operate construction equipment, and maintain work areas.
• Clearly communicate with all team members.
• Complete daily production reports.
• Help with site restoration efforts.
• Perform work in all weather conditions.
• Other duties as assigned.

We are willing to train the right person in one of two specialized areas:

• Coax Splicing – Learn the skills needed to splice, repair, and maintain underground coaxial cable systems.
• Surveying / Utility Locating – Learn how to locate and identify underground utilities and assist with surveying and field work.

What You’ll Need

Physical Abilities & Exposures

• Routinely: work at heights, occasional entry into attics and crawl spaces and alone in remote locations, operate vehicle and heavy machinery; squeeze, fine hand motion, bend, stoop, stand, walk, climb stairs, and lift up to 55 pounds without assistance.
• Occasionally: use ladder, keyboard and mouse

The wage range for Underground Utilities Laborer Maple Grove is $20.00 - $28.00.
