Job summary

Tab Construction, Inc. in Colorado Springs is seeking an experienced Equipment Operator to safely manage a range of heavy machinery on active construction sites. You will focus on safety, efficiency, and precision while adhering to site plans.

Minimum 3 years' experience, knowledge of underground utilities, locating systems, and the ability to read stakes and plans are required. OSHA 10 is preferred; a valid driver's license and reliable transport are a must.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience as an equipment operator.
• Experience operating heavy equipment to cut grade and dig trenches.
• Knowledge of underground utility installation.
• Experience with locating systems.
• Ability to read stakes and plans.
• Clear communication skills and ability to follow directions on active job sites.
• OSHA 10 certification preferred or willingness to obtain upon hire.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to job sites.

Responsibilities

• Operate a variety of heavy machinery safely and efficiently.
• Install piping and perform basic leaching operations with assistance.
• Perform pre-shift, pre-op and workplace inspections.
• Follow good housekeeping practices.
• Complete all necessary paperwork in a timely manner.
• Support labor or pipelayer tasks as needed.
