Job summary

We Energies, a subsidiary of WEC Energy Group, is seeking an Underground Equipment Operator in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The role covers installation, maintenance, and repair of underground conduit and manhole systems for the WE territory, including URD cable repairs using heavy equipment and by hand.

The job requires at least one year of equipment operation experience, a valid driver's license (CDL within 90 days), and compliance with DOT drug and alcohol testing.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year experience operating construction equipment (earth excavation and/or aerial lift).
• Must have a valid driver's license and obtain a CDL within 90 days.
• Must comply with DOT CDL drug and alcohol testing requirements.
• May be required to pass a Physical Capacity Evaluation.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair underground conduit and manholes for WE territory.
• Dig splice pits for URD and cable repairs using heavy equipment and by hand.
• Perform tailgate conferencing, job prep, material ordering, job layout, traffic control, and barricading.
