The role involves overseeing fiber optic installation, trenching, and conduit work across Utah and surrounding states, with heavy travel and per diem opportunities. Competitive pay ranges from $28.00 to $38.00 per hour, plus comprehensive benefits and a company-match 401(k).

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in underground construction activities (fiber optic, conduit placement, trenching, or utility installation).
• Ability to supervise crews, manage jobsite safety, and solve field issues proactively.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily field operations for fiber optic cable installation, trenching, conduit placement, and utility work.
• Direct crew members, assign daily tasks, manage equipment/materials, and enforce OSHA safety standards.
• Coordinate traffic control, road closures, and collaborate with project managers, utility companies, inspectors, and clients.
• Track daily production hours, maintain accurate job reports, troubleshoot construction challenges, and ensure projects stay on schedule and budget.

A Day in the Life
