Job summary

Sibanye-Stillwater is seeking a Sand Plant Operator 1 or 2 at the East Boulder Mine (EB). The role covers underground backfill plant operations, slurry pumping, and monitoring silo activities in a rotating schedule.

You will support sand plant operations and ensure accurate data recording, maintenance, and adherence to health, safety, and environmental standards. The position requires mechanical aptitude, experience with piping/valves, and the ability to handle explosives per the Safe Explosives

Qualifications

• Background in stationary equipment operations & maintenance.
• Experience with piping/valve installation & maintenance.
• Ability to monitor and maintain slurry systems and sand plants.

Responsibilities

• Operate underground backfill plants and high-pressure slurry pumping systems.
• Monitor slurry silo filling and coordinate intake/output from silos.
• Record data, perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot breakdowns.
• Maintain shift-by-shift operation records and perform other duties as assigned.
