Job summary

Torrey Holistics is seeking an Underground Salt Haulage & Plant Support Operator to keep salt flowing and production on track in an active underground mine. You will operate underground haul trucks, move materials between headings and processing points, and support maintenance on conveyors and crushers.

You’ll also help with basic equipment checks, log production and safety records, and ensure strict MSHA safety compliance throughout each shift.

Qualifications

• Proven experience operating heavy equipment.
• Basic maintenance aptitude and willingness to assist.
• Ability to work safely in an underground mine.

Your mission

Transport salt and materials across the underground mine, uphold strict safety practices, and support essential equipment with light maintenance so the operation stays productive and compliant.

• Operate underground haul trucks to move salt and materials between active headings, stockpiles, and processing points.
• Run additional mobile equipment when assigned to meet production needs.
• Assist with basic maintenance on conveyors, crushers, and screening equipment; support the maintenance team as needed.
• Comply with MSHA regulations and site-specific safety protocols.
• Keep accurate production and safety records throughout the shift.

What you'll need to succeed

• Proven heavy equipment operating experience.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and willingness to assist maintenance tasks.
• Strong commitment to safety and situational awareness underground.
• Comfort working in an underground mining environment.
• Ability to perform physical work, including lifting 50+ lbs.
