As an Underground Plumbing and Excavation Technician, you’ll assist with installing, repairing, and replacing underground water and sewer lines while supporting residential and commercial plumbing projects throughout the service area. You’ll participate in excavation projects, trenching operations, sewer replacements, water service installations, plumbing repairs, and underground utility work while learning every phase of the plumbing process.
You’ll safely operate or assist with mini excavators, skid steers, trenchers, and other construction equipment while following OSHA regulations, safe excavation practices, and plumbing code requirements. You’ll work alongside experienced plumbers to troubleshoot plumbing issues, complete service repairs, perform underground utility installations, and help customers restore reliable plumbing systems. Throughout your career, you’ll continue expanding your technical knowledge through hands‑on training, field experience and mentoring.
We're seeking motivated individuals who are dependable, mechanically inclined, and eager to continue developing their plumbing skills. Previous plumbing, excavation, underground utility, construction, or mechanical experience is preferred. Experience operating mini excavators is required.
Successful candidates are comfortable performing physically demanding work, including trenching, digging, lifting heavy materials, and working outdoors in a variety of weather conditions. Strong communication skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team are essential.
