Job summary

Kiewit is seeking a Superintendant to oversee field construction activities on projects across the region. The role involves supervision of craft workers, adherence to drawings and schedules, and coordination with field engineers to deliver high-quality results.

Travel and relocation may be required as projects demand; collaboration with subcontractors and fellow superintendents is essential to maintain safety, efficiency, and on-time delivery.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years' experience in the construction industry, including at least 3 years in a supervisory capacity managing piping operations.
• Demonstrated experience with managing trench excavating and excavating plans.
• Experience with underground pipe with existing utilities.
• Comprehensive understanding of union regulations, safety protocols, scheduling, cost control, and engineering documentation.
• Proven ability to supervise and evaluate craft performance effectively, fostering a culture of excellence.
• Must have the ability to be mobile.

Responsibilities

• Supervise craft workers via foremen, managing productivity, safety, quality, and schedules.
• Bridge field engineering and craft to ensure drawings and specs are followed.
• Coordinate with superintendents and subs for smooth project execution.
• Resolve employee conflicts and escalate to management when needed.
• Assist in schedule planning and material/resource allocation.
• Enforce project safety rules and company policies.
