Job summary

R.H. White Construction & Service Solutions is seeking a working foreman to coordinate field crews in installing, maintaining, and repairing piping and equipment in industrial settings.

You will read blueprints and schematics, guide the crew using hoists and power tools, and ensure work follows layout plans and specifications. The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, 5 years of underground construction experience, OSHA 10 or ability to obtain, and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and additional specialized training equal to a master craft designation.
• Minimum 5 years' experience in underground construction trades.
• Must have Connecticut Natural Gas Utility company experience and operator qualifications.
• Must acquire and maintain all customer and company specified qualifications, certifications, and training as needed.
• Working foreman should be able to work within precise limits of standards of accuracy and make decisions based on measurable criteria.
• Completion of company training programs and appropriate experience required
• Possess the leadership ability necessary to lead, motivate and direct the work of subordinates.
• Physically, working foreman must be able to work easily and skillfully with hands, lift and carry objects weighing up to 100 pounds, have good vision and stand, stoop, kneel or crouch.
• OSHA 10 Construction Certification, or ability to obtain during pre-employment (company provided online training).
• Obtain and maintain a valid unrestricted Driver's License.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates activities of work crew engaged in installation, maintenance and repair of piping and equipment.
• Installs, maintains and repairs piping and equipment according to layout plans, blueprints, and drawings.
• Reads blueprints and schematic drawings to determine work procedures.
