Job summary

Morgan Corp. is seeking a Pipe Layer to install and repair underground piping systems, including water, sewer, and storm drains, on active construction sites in Sherrills Ford, NC. You will coordinate with equipment operators, foremen, and crew to ensure pipes are properly graded, aligned, and sealed.

Responsibilities include trench preparation, bedding, installing and connecting pipes, and checking fittings for damage. OSHA safety rules apply at all times.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Strong communication skills for one-on-one and small group settings.
• Basic math skills to calculate figures and measurements.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while juggling multiple tasks.
• Ability to resolve problems with limited supervision.

Responsibilities

• Install underground pipes.
• Install water, sewer, and storm drain systems.
• Keep pipes at the correct grade and level.
• Prepare trenches and bedding for pipes.
• Connect and seal pipes and fittings.
• Use lasers and levels to align pipes.
• Check pipes and fittings for damage.
• Communicate with operators and crew members.
• Follow trench and jobsite safety rules.
• Understand shoring, trench access, and OSHA safety requirements.
