Job summary

Careermine is seeking a Miner to inspect underground headings, scale rocks, install ground support and operate mining machinery to enable safe tunnels, shafts and passages. The role requires operating diverse equipment such as bolters, LHD units, jumbo drills, and forklifts, while maintaining strict safety standards.

Responsibilities include pre-start inspections, identifying hazards, performing routine maintenance, and assisting with blasting and utilities installation.

Qualifications

• Underground mining experience preferred.
• Ability to inspect equipment and follow Standard Work Procedures (SWP).
• Capable of operating multiple mining machines safely.

Responsibilities

• Inspect equipment before and after use.
• Operate listed mining machines per SWP.
• Identify unsafe conditions in underground headings.
• Apply ground support installations such as rock bolts and welded mesh.
• Load explosives and assist with blasting as required.
• Maintain mine safety and compliance with SOPs.
