Job summary

Cargill invites you to join our Mining Engineering Internship program, based at underground salt mine sites in Lansing, NY or Cleveland, OH. You will learn to lead production or maintenance teams and work on critical initiatives in a fast-paced environment.

You will gain exposure to operations leadership, maintenance, and project engineering, with formal training and mentoring from experienced engineers. Interns are paid hourly and may relocate to Cleveland or Lansing.

Qualifications

• Must be pursuing a bachelor’s or Mining Engineering (MinE), Mechanical (ME), Electrical (EE), Industrial (IE) or related engineering discipline.
• Graduation window: Dec 2027 – May 2030.
• Right to work in the U.S. that is not based solely on student visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Lead people, processes and input/product in a mining environment with mentorship from engineers.
• Participate in day-to-day supervision of operators and production activities; assist in safety, reliability and process improvements.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering or related field

Bachelor's/Master's degree in progress or completed between Dec 2027 - May 2030
